Pumpkin Reaper Devlog: The Dead Rise (and They Brought Bows!)
Hey everyone! It's been a busy week in the pumpkin patch, and the undead are definitely starting to feel the crunch!
First things first, I’ve been focusing heavily on the Necromancer build. You can now see the initial title page for it in the game itself, giving a taste of the dark arts to come.
But the BIG news? Summons are now ATTACKING! That’s right, your skeletal horde is no longer just a spooky screensaver. They’re actively engaging the enemies, ripping and tearing (metaphorically, for now, this is a pumpkin-themed game, after all!).
Even better, I got the Archer summon working. So now you can summon ranged damage to your Necro army.
Getting both melee and ranged summons to work together smoothly has been a challenge but the system is functioning well now!
The other really big win this week is web optimization! The game is now running significantly smoother in the browser, which is HUGE news because it means you can now jump in and test the latest build right here on Itch! I'm looking for your feedback on the summon combat and build progression.

Thanks for following the development of Pumpkin Reaper! Every comment and bit of feedback fuels the spooky fires. Let me know what you think of the new summons!
Happy haunting! 🎃
