Hey everyone! 

Been a busy week tending my pumpkin patch and polishing my scythe! I'm so excited to share some of the progress on Pumpkin Reaper, my bullethell indie game where you (obviously) play as a pumpkin-headed reaper blasting through hordes of…well, you'll find out soon enough.

First off, Pumpkin Reaper now has a killer new set of posters! I wanted something that really captured the frenetic energy and spooky-cute vibe I'm going for. Check them out at the top of the page and let me know what you think!

But it's not just about looks! Under the hood, things are getting really interesting. I spent a chunk of time wrestling with the core gameplay loop, finally nailing a smooth wave system. Now, when you conquer a wave, you'll be thrust into the next, and have a stat screen with translations, making the game even more fun. I've also been experimenting with making the floating text, POPPIN even more than it does before.

And speaking of sounds – you can't blast hordes of enemies without some satisfying audio feedback, right? We've got punchy shoot sounds and explosive bullet sounds, thanks to the new bullet prefab, to make the chaos even more gratifying!

Of course, no update is complete without squashing a few bugs. I'm super excited to get the game deployed on Itch!
